I would love to write about my day, but I'm short on time this evening. However, I couldn't not post photos of Will and Max. I spent most of my day with these sweet boys!
Having lunch in our neighborhood park.
A few days ago I asked if you would please say a prayer for a dear friend of mine who tragically lost her sister. I know that tomorrow and Saturday will be especially hard on them as they say goodbye to Ashley.
Ashley & Brittany
Would you again, please keep them in your prayers?
The morning after learning of Ashley's passing, I heard these lyrics on the radio:
"And I'll praise you in this storm
And I will lift my hands,
For You are who You are
No matter where I am.
And every tear I've cried
You hold in Your hand,
You never left my side
And though my heart is torn
I will praise You in this storm."
-Casting Crowns "Praise You In This Storm"
During such a tragic time, it's hard to remember that God is sovereign, good, and in control. It's hard to remember that nothing in His universe happens by chance or accident. I can only imagine how difficult it would be to praise Him during a time like this. It's during these times that our faith is tested at it's core. I know mine would be. But I also know that the only way I would find rest during such heartache is to draw near to Him.
I pray that this family is able to find comfort in His arms. I pray that they find peace in this midst of their unimaginable storm.
"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest." Matthew 11:28
