October in Pictures

Warning:

this post is overloaded with photos!

October has been our most enjoyable month yet.  We've had the best time with our baby boy.

Here is our October in photos!

Walt looked awfully sweet this month in his Halloween outfits and pajamas......

He loved his Halloween toys and we learned that his favorite autumn snack is candy corn.  Ha ;)

(thanks Grand-dad and Grand-mom for my treats!)

We read Halloween books every night before bed (thank you Aunt Sarah and Uncle Eric!)....

After a story, Walt loved to rock and watch his pumpkin glow......

He watched his first Halloween TV special ......

We spent countless October mornings at the zoo.  On one trip, Abby was able to join us.....

We attended a beautiful fall wedding, and sat in the last row with an escape plan ready.  But Walt did so well and never made a peep!

Congrats John and Allison!

We made Halloween costumes...

....baked cookies with Mommy.....

and carved pumpkins with Daddy.

Which made for the funniest photos.....

We went to the pumpkin patch.......

....the Jacko'lantern Spectacular at the park with friends...

(our Mona took these four photos while we were there....  and they made the Courier Journal ; )

and to the World's Largest Halloween Party! ;)

Walt had fall photos made....

..and enjoyed his first very cold (with snowflakes!!) Halloween.

The Hammonds will always be remembered as his first trick or treat stop......

He also trick-or-treated at his grandparents...

.....where his very own Halloween party awaited him ;)

Thank you Grand-dad and Grand-mom for my Halloween surprise!

And our tradition remained...  Sam, Jason and the sweetest Dorothy ended their Halloween with a visit to my Mom and Dad's....

Troy and I have always loved October.  In our teens we did haunted houses and ghost runs.  In college we did fall wine tastings and scary movie nights.  After marriage we would take October trips to the Smokies, or tour the fall foliage on the coast of New England.

It's always been a special month.

But I must say,

.. a bedtime song of "Five Little Pumpkins"....

....witnessing the first sight of a jacko-lantern...

...and seeing a round, chubby cheeked bundle of sweetness in a field of pumpkins...

makes this our best October yet.

Thank you for reading.  We are honored that you continue to follow us.

Love,

Kristin
