Easter Weekend

Happy Thursday to you!

Here is our Easter weekend in photos.

On Good Friday, we visited the pediatrician for Walt's 9 month check up.

I can't say enough good about our pediatrician's office.  They are so sweet to us.  I know they see dozens of babies a day, and yet they make us feel like they've been waiting all month to see Walt.  They all come to see him when we arrive.....the girls there will parade him around the office, ask to hold him, and talk about how they can't believe that he's getting so big.  One even asked to babysit.  They are just precious.

Confession:  the first time we took Walt (newborn check up), I sat in the lobby...  looking around....  and then whispered to Troy that I wasn't sure about our decision.  Their office wasn't the newest, their equipment not the latest...  and I was a new Mommy who thought her baby needed the best.

I now think of that every time we go.  I'm convicted on how judgmental I was, and reminded of how true the old saying of "don't judge a book by its cover" truly is.

"Look beneath the surface, so you can judge correctly." John 7:24

Because beneath the surface of this older office lobby, was exactly what I wanted for Walt....  the best.  Pediatricians and a staff who not only diagnose and treat....  but do it with a servant's heart.

(thank you Sonya & Jenn for talking me into going a second time!)  ; )

On Saturday, we ordered a pizza and dyed Easter eggs with Uncle Eric and Aunt Sarah...

Eric and Sarah are young.... busy...  and have a huge, fun social circle.  The fact that they gave up a Saturday evening to be with us (and spoil Walt), is such a gift to us.

We let Walt "help" dye Easter eggs.  It caused a big mess ....and meant he went to Easter service looking like a green baby Hulk .....

....but the looks on their faces made it so worth it....

Walt's first Easter Sunday was a lovely one....

He spent the morning playing with his basket and at Easter service...

That afternoon, we went to my parents' for Easter dinner...

There, the Easter bunny not only brought him a basket....  but an entire coffee table of surprises...

And Walt couldn't have been any sweeter.  He laughed and jumped, snuggled and played with each and every surprise that awaited him.....

He had the best time with Grandad & Grandmom......

Thank you Mom & Dad for the best day!!

I love Easter weekend.

What's not to love?  Three days of Reese's Eggs, family, a Risen Savior .....

and a blonde haired, blue eyed, baby boy in knee socks ....

who oddly enough....   already seems to feel the joy and glory of it all.

Hope you had a wonderful Easter!

Love,

Kristin
