Home for the Holidays!

I finally decided to sit down and upload all of our photos from Christmas week.  There are many.  Many memories, make many photos!

In the fall of 2013, when Troy first proposed the idea of us moving away for Fellowship training, I told him that I couldn't imagine not being home for the holidays.  It was one of the hardest parts about the idea of moving.  He said "well, we'll definitely come home for one of them.  Either Thanksgiving or Christmas."  I told him that my heart couldn't take being away for either holiday.  I knew it would be difficult to manage, but I really wanted to be able to come home for both.

And so, though I'm not sure how,

.....  he made it happen.

My parents were once again the perfect host.  We enjoyed every minute of our week in their home.

As much as we would have loved to have spent time with both our family and friends, we needed to be with our families that week.  We knew that Troy's mom was moving to FL soon, and wanted to be with them.

We started our week with the Davis family Christmas.  Thank you Eric and Sarah for once again hosting the perfect evening!

And thank you Troy and Eric for your Christmas caroling show (even if you don't know the words to  not ONE carol)....  can we make this a tradition?

Speaking of traditions...  my Mom hosted the 2nd annual Grandchildren Gingerbread House Making evening!

Our week home also consisted of Christmas Eve dinner...

And of course.... a very big Christmas Day.

Mr. & Mrs. Claus sure spoiled our baby boy...

.....and he had the best time with it all!

We spent hours that morning watching Walt play.....

....but eventually had Christmas for the adults too!

And how sweet were Mr. and Mrs. Claus to have a spot of surprises for our baby girl?!

I think our Christmas was everything a heart always hopes it will be.  Full of everything warm and cozy.  Full of Christmas cookies, and red pajamas ....holiday movies...  and piles of wrapping paper... and a long dinner table with someone sitting in every chair.

Full of family and of love.

Thank you Mom and Dad for hosting us and making the week so special!

And thank you to my husband who jumped through hoops to be sure that we were indeed....

Home for the Holidays.

Love,

Kristin
