July in Photos!

Long time, no blog!

I can't believe we only have a few weeks of summer left.  I have enjoyed the cooler temperatures and beautiful weather so much.  

I have a random assortment of photos from the last few weeks...

We have tried to take advantage of the beautiful weather with outdoor dining...

and afternoons at the ice cream shop....

I've enjoyed a couple of lunch dates....

Ann's maternity leave ended a week ago.  We squeezed in one last maternity lunch before she went back to work....

We are both still trying to figure out how to obtain a large sum of money that would keep us from having to work.  

I also had a lunch date with Cheryl S.  We made lunch (learned a new recipe!), I had a couple of surprises/gifts (so nice!?), and we watched Downton Abbey while eating strawberry shortcake.

We've also enjoyed summer dinners out with friends....


Sometimes an impromptu dinner of ..."we're going to eat Mexican food....in gym clothes....want to come?" are the best kind....

We also spent an evening out with friends and a new restaurant.  Kangaroo burger anyone?

We can always count on this crew to come up with interesting dinner dates (thank you Mona!).  I think next month is Ethiopian food. :)

And summer wouldn't be summer without more afternoons at the pool .....

With 3 of my favorite boys (and their mommies!)...

Troy spent most of the last week of July working like crazy.  He has been on call this week and the pager has become like a newborn baby at night.  It has been going off every 4 hours.  We're both exhausted.  Him from having to get up and deal with it, and me from then laying in bed worrying/praying for the patient until I hear him hang up the phone.  He will return to bed (hoping to go right back to sleep) and I'm all.... "how old are they?  what happened to them?  do they have children?  is there family with them?  are they going to make it?" It stresses me to no end.

Worst on call wife ever.

So Troy went in to do some catching up last weekend, and I tagged along.

Nothing like a Saturday date night at University Hospital.....

After leaving, we decided to grab a late night dinner downtown.

But the pager had other plans and every time we'd head to dinner,
Troy would have to pull over so he could answer the page.....

We made it eventually and enjoyed dinner on Main Street....

Tonight is the last night of call....thank goodness!
