A week after Christmas, we made a last minute decision to hit the road for a quick New Years trip to Nashville. If you've read this blog at all, you know that the Gaylord Opryland is a special place for us.
This was Juliet's first stay at a Gaylord property. I was so tickled with the room they gave us. This section of the hotel was perfect for her first stay! ; )
The Magnolia section has always been a favorite.
But the beautiful scenery wasn't the only reason for the trip. The resort offers so many holiday festivities for little ones.
After dinner by the fountains (tradition!), we headed to the ICE event!
We did these events at the Gaylord Texan last year with Walt (I was pregnant with Juliet!), so this was his second ICE!
ICE was followed by sweet treats, souvenirs and train rides!
We finished the night with a tour of the lights...
.....and the most beautiful outdoor nativity I've ever seen. It's impossible to stand in front of this without shedding a tear.
The next morning was spent playing in the resort....
....and a stop at the Rain Forest Cafe.
We made it home in time to ring in the new year with Sam, Jason and Abby!
And that my friends completes our 2016!!!
Whew....better late than never!
Thanks for reading :)
