I know that I already blogged about Walt's 1st birthday party. We celebrated 5 weeks early while still in Louisville with our family.
But Walt actually turned a year old in Houston (July 2nd), where we celebrated just the three of us.
We spent a couple of days celebrating our baby.
We celebrated his birthday morning with a couple of surprises...
We had a fun birthday dinner at the Aquarium Restaurant downtown....
The Aquarium Restaurant here has a small amusement area with it. The perfect after dinner entertainment for little ones..
We had birthday cake...
.... a surprise delivery from Grandmom & Grandad....
....and present time!
I know that we all think that our own children are the sweetest things that ever existed. But truly.... I've never seen anything or anyone so sweet and loving...

I've spent the last several days looking back at the blog, remembering all of the moments from your first year of life. This year, by far, has been the sweetest one of our lives. The joy you've brought us is immeasurable.
Mommy and Daddy simply can't get enough of you. Often, after you've gone to sleep at night, we find ourselves laying in bed watching videos of you. We laugh and talk about the things you did that day, and how wonderful life is with you.
There is no where I'd rather be, than with you. There is nothing I'd rather be, than your Mommy. You are all I've ever dreamed of, and I still can't believe that you're mine. As sad as I am to say goodbye to your babyhood... I can't wait to see what year 2 will bring.
